In Lorenzo il Magnifico, each player leads a noble family competing for prestige and fame during this golden age. Victory points come from the deeds your family accomplishes, not from titles alone. Send your family members out into the city to secure resources, recruit powerful characters, construct buildings, and answer the demands of the Church. Every area of town offers different opportunities, and every choice shapes the fortune of your family. Careful planning and timing are key: the family that manages its resources and members best will rise above its rivals. Maiestas edition brings this Renaissance rivalry back to the table in a new edition, built from the ground up for players old and new. The artwork has been restored and the components upgraded, giving the game a fresh visual identity while staying true to its original spirit. The rules have been revisited as well, with a new approach to scoring that changes how families measure their success and asks you to rethink the priorities that guided your strategy before. Cards and Leaders now combine in a richer variety of ways, opening up new synergies to discover and master. Together, these changes expand the range of viable strategies, so no two games play out the same way and every session offers a new path to greatness. Main differences between Maiestas and Prima Lux: The Development Card pool is larger, but each game uses only part of it (96 out of the 144 Development cards are used in a game). The Market changes from round to round. Action Spaces have been adjusted according to player count. Leaders have a greater presence throughout the game New end-game bonuses give players additional reasons to pursue different strategies. -description from publisher
